IMPORTANT INFORMATION!
Before registering for District classes, please verify that you can attend the dates listed for the course. Most classes will allow you to miss one or two dates, but attendance is very important for all courses. There has been a trend of firefighters registering for courses and then not showing up. How does this affect others? If we have low attendance or enrollment we have no choice but to cancel a course. Someone in the class may be taking the course for a promotional process or they may have been waiting to take this course for several months. Additionaly, money not used for courses due to low attendance must be given back to IDHS. When District have to turn money in, it gives the State the impression that firefighters don't need the money for training. We track students who repeatedly do not show up for classes they register for, and we are addressing the issue.
