The objective of this course is to teach instructors and trainers how to organize and teach a course effectively, using existing lesson plans. Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to plan instruction, using a variety of instructional methods; teach diverse learners; evaluate course outcomes; and address the critical issues of safety and the legal issues of training.
The purpose of the Instructor II/III course is to provide senior Instructors with the knowledge and skills to meet the minimum job performance requirements as outlined in NFPA 1041. Candidates must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to develop instruction materials and evaluation instruments for fire courses.
